PROFILE: Ben Jacques had his first experience with greyhounds as a child in England where his grandfather owned greyhounds. Born in 1908, he came to the United States with his family when he was 12.

HISTORY: Mr. Jacques bought his first greyhounds in 1934. In 1938 he bought a Ben Andrews-VELVET TRAFFIC litter and won the 1941 Biscayne Derby with one of the puppies, JANICE J. His dogs have raced at most tracks in this country. He had outstanding dogs for four decades.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Mr. Jacques raised some of the great greyhounds for four decades including; JANICE J, BAYOU, BEN MAR, JARUBE, DAISEY PATCH, OFFICER SERMON, GOLD COAST, KEEN GIRL, PICK RIVER, RIVER WIND, KIEGO, SIMLA AND MOPAR.
